125 McCall Lane - Hill Country tree-house turned vacation home in Wimberley, Texas.  More photos on the Project Page.  Design and construction by Rice Construction Company.

 

1727 Cattle Creek Rd - 2008 - Design and construction of a 9 bedroom Hill Country compound in The Preserve at Walnut Springs, a conservation development in Johnson City, Texas.   This home is registered with the US Green Building Council's LEEDS for Homes project and includes many green building components, including rainwater collection, Icynene (r) insulation, and high-efficiency appliances and windows. 

3464 Flat Creek Rd - 2007 - Workshop and studio apartment. Design and construction by Rice Construction Company.

Sterrett Street Phase I - 2005 - Concept, design, and construction of three town-homes in Downtown Houston's Central Business District. 

 

 

Rancho Escondido - 2005 - We finished construction on this new home in The Preserve at Walnut Springs, Johnson City, Texas.  The original home builder was unable to complete construction, so Rice Construction worked with the owners to finish this Spanish Hacienda.  Work included an audit of the construction project, completion of all major mechanical systems, installation of appliances and fixtures, completion of tile and showers, re-painting and staining the wood and general punch items.

 

Diagnostic Eye Center Houston- 2005 - Remodel of a commercial building and office build-out.

 

1220 Kipling Street - 2005 - Residential townhouse remodel - 1976 construction being renovated with an industrial flair - including stained concrete counters and flooring, metal accents, and built-in furnishings.

 

10810 Kentington Oaks Drive - 2004 - Renovation of investment property for sale including new siding, kitchen, bath, new mechanical systems, appliances, interior and exterior paint and flooring, landscape.

 

M-Architects - 1206 Nance Street - 2003 - Historic restoration and build-out of  Houston's Historic Fifth Ward Hotel. Project featured an AIA award-winning design of M-Architects and winner of a 2004 Good Brick Award by Greater Houston Preservation Alliance.

 

Placette Residence  - 1601 South Shepherd - 2003 - Remodel of residential condominium unit including new kitchen, addition of classic trim touches, landscape, and flooring.

 

Havens Center - St. Stephen's Episcopal Church Houston - 1827 W. Alabama - 2002 - Restoration and build-out of Arnold Electric building conversion to Community Center.  Project featured design by Joe Milton, Architect.

 

 

11710 Braewick  - 2002 - Remodel of Westbury area residence of Rice Construction owners including kitchen, baths, hardwood flooring, landscape and pool.   Additional Photos

  

6046 Cartagena - 2002 - Remodel of Westbury area residence for sale, including foundation, plumbing, roof, kitchens, bath, mechanicals, and landscaping.

 

1204 Nance Street - 1204 Nance - 2001 - Restoration of Tony's Barber Shop.  Project included re-pointing brick and conversion to office.  Recipient of 2004 Good Brick Award by Greater Houston Preservation Alliance.

 

Henry Henke's Fifth Ward Grocery - 1200 Rothwell - 2001 - Historic Restoration of structure.  Project included re-pointing brick, restructuring and cabling the building to ensure structural integrity, new doors and paint.  Recipient of 2004 Good Brick Award by Greater Houston Preservation Alliance.

 

5121-5127 Jackson - New Construction - 2001 - Four residential townhouses of 3,080 SF each featuring shadow reveals,  stainless steel counter tops and mid-century inspired design.  Concept, design, and construction by Rice Construction Company.
